Some people get dopamine hits from shopping, but I get mine from digging up the perfect Shopify app. If there’s a major app out there, I’ve probably (definitely) used it, but I’m not here to share the basics that we all know and love (Rebuy, Triple Whale, et al…unless you want a post on those?). These are my underrated little secrets, and as much as they hurt to give away, I want to see them succeed!
I would hesitate to run a store without considering all of these gems:
This app is an easy way to monitor all your technical SEO basics for $20/month. There are a few options out there but this is the best.
When the question is “Which products drive repeat purchases?”, this app is the answer. Ideal for large catalogues.
It’s unclear to me why so many people don’t have this installed already! It’s IFTTT/Zapier but for Shopify. Mess around with the templates and you’re sure to find something that will make your life easier. Excellent for setting alerts when inventory is low or for automatically tagging certain customers or orders. The use cases are infinite.
OK, maybe this is too mainstream to count as underrated these days. But I’ve been using it from the very beginning and rely on it just as much as ever for post-purchase surveys. It offers more questions than its competitors and drill-down segmentation.

While this app still leaves a few things to be desired, in my view it’s better than the more popular app, Octane.ai. (Please leave a comment if you have another suggestion!)
